Ember
Welcome
Thank you for inviting Ember into your home.
Rich, warming and full-bodied, Ember is our autumn coffee. A Monsoon Malabar from India with naturally low acidity and a distinctive depth, bringing notes of cocoa, warm spice and an earthy richness to the cup.
A coffee for darker mornings, cooler afternoons and those first evenings when staying in starts to feel like the better option.
Take your time. This one rewards it.
Permission to Pause: Autumn
We made something for you to listen to while you do.

From the Malabar Coast
The story starts long before the coffee reaches your cup.
Along India’s southwest coast, the Malabar region has shaped one of coffee’s most distinctive traditions. During the monsoon season, coffee beans were historically transformed by the warm, moisture-laden air, developing a character unlike coffees grown and processed elsewhere.
Today, that effect is deliberately recreated through a process known as monsooning. The beans are carefully exposed to humid monsoon winds over a period of weeks, allowing them to swell, soften in colour and lose much of their natural acidity. What emerges is a coffee with remarkable body, smoothness and depth.
Ember captures that character beautifully. Rich cocoa, warm spice and earthy notes come together in a full-bodied cup with very low acidity and a lingering, mellow finish. A coffee made for slower days, darker evenings and the first hint of autumn in the air.

Why We Chose It
Ember was chosen for the way it feels as much as the way it tastes.
Full-bodied, smooth and naturally low in acidity, Monsoon Malabar has a warmth and depth that feels made for the shift into autumn. Cocoa and gentle spice give it richness, while its mellow character keeps the cup beautifully balanced.
It’s a coffee to linger over. The kind that suits slower mornings, cooler afternoons and those first evenings when staying in suddenly feels rather appealing.
Rich. Warming. Unhurried.
In Your Cup
Expect a coffee with depth, warmth and a wonderfully smooth finish.
Cocoa brings a deep, rounded richness.
Warm spice adds gentle complexity.
Earthy notes give Ember its distinctive depth.
Full-bodied and naturally low in acidity, it has a mellow character that lingers without becoming harsh or bitter.
A bold coffee, but an unhurried one.
Brew It Your Way
Ember’s full body and low acidity make it a beautifully versatile coffee.
French Press
A natural home for Ember. The longer brew brings out its rich cocoa, earthy depth and warm spice.
Espresso
Bold, smooth and satisfyingly full-bodied. Lovely on its own and strong enough to hold its character with milk.
Filter
A slightly lighter expression of Ember, while keeping that distinctive mellow richness.
AeroPress
Smooth and rounded, with plenty of body and a beautifully clean finish.
However you brew it, give it a little time.
Some coffees are worth slowing down for.
Pair It With
Ember is particularly good alongside flavours with a little warmth and richness of their own.
Dark chocolate
Echoes Ember’s cocoa notes and deepens its richness.
Cinnamon pastries
Warm spice against warm spice. An excellent slow-morning combination.
Toasted nuts
Hazelnuts, almonds or pecans work beautifully with Ember’s earthy depth.
Apple or pear cake
Soft autumn fruit and gentle sweetness balance the coffee’s full body.
Or, of course, nothing at all.
Sometimes the coffee is enough.
Permission to Pause
Autumn has its own rhythm.
The light changes. The evenings draw in. Mornings become a little slower and staying home starts to feel like a pleasure rather than a compromise.
Ember was chosen for those moments. Make a cup, put something warm on and give yourself permission to be exactly where you are.
No rush. No agenda. Just coffee and a little time.
Thank You
Thank you for choosing Perkatory.
We hope Ember becomes part of many slow mornings, cooler afternoons and cosy evenings this autumn.
Until next time.
